Qualis has again demonstrated its backing of the wider Epping Forest community with the sponsorship of Epping Bowls Club Men’s Consistency’s Competition final.
The Epping-based company made a generous donation to the club towards the installation of a new fence between its grounds and Epping Cricket Club’s, in addition to providing a smart new trophy for the winner of this year’s competition.
Steve Baker and Tony Rowland were neck and neck for most of the finals on Saturday 16 September. Both racked up 100 each meaning the match went to sudden death, during which Mr Rowland pipped Mr Baker to the post.
Mr Rowland was later presented with the new trophy by Emily Gilchrist, Sales and Marketing Manager at Qualis Homes.
Simon Rutter, Managing Director at Qualis Commercial, said: “Epping Bowls Club is a real asset to the whole community, and we are absolutely thrilled to be working with such a valued, long-standing organisation. We are committed to supporting the growth and vitality of our local communities and will continue to seek opportunities to do so.”
Peter Bates, President of Epping Bowls Club, said: “We are delighted to be supported by Qualis in this way. We are a small club and greatly appreciate all local help and support. Many of our trophies are showing signs of wear and tear, so the replacement was much needed and provided for a fitting climax to the competition.”
